Skill Level: You should be comfortable working a long tail cast on, knitting, and purling.
Materials Required (Bring your own or available for purchase at Weird Sisters*):
Worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors
US size 8 needles (or appropriate size for your yarn)
Hand out will be provided in class

This 2 hour class will cover all the basics of double knitting including two color cast on and bind off, an easy technique for tidy edges, how to read the charts, and tips for yarn management. The heart chart provided in class can be used to create a coaster or repeat the motif to make a scarf.
Theressa Silver is a freelance designer, teacher, and author. Her most recent book, “Knitting Wild” showcases the beauty of America’s national parks and wildlife refuges. Theressa is a biologist by training and the influence of math and science can be seen in many of her designs. When she is not knitting she likes to be outside kayaking or hiking. She lives in Milwaukie, OR with her husband, son, two cats, and a dog, all of whom occasionally participate one way or another in the knitting process. Theressa can be found on Ravelry and Instagram as “argentgal.”
