A Day Late & A Skein Short - April 28th 2pm - 6pm

Updated: Apr 22, 2019

Is a yarn event with no yarn really a yarn event? Will I be knitting my Tegna alone? Who's going to die that night in Game of Thrones?

I'm not opening until June but wanted to do something to celebrate LYS Day. We're inside of an indie bookstore so celebrating on April 27th would've conflicted with that. It's too bad our space isn't large enough to hold both events at the same time! Maybe someday...

Sunday, April 28th, I'll be at Two Rivers Bookstore working on Caitlin Hunter's Tegna (Possibly lonely knitting) with some snacks and goodies and no yarn (yet). I wanted to be sure to be here and have a place for local knitters and crocheters to come celebrate LYS day, meet some new crafty friends and see the space that will become St. Johns' own LYS.

While I won't be fully stocked with yarn, I'm beyond excited to announce that I will be selling these bitchin' Game of Thrones inspired stitch markers by the uber talented Maria from A Needle Runs Through It! I might need to grab a set to use while I knit up Melly Moon's House Greyjoy (My personal favorite house. I mean, the Iron Islands, the Kraken sigil, Yara...all so badass. Plus the family traumadrama runs DEEP) inspired We Do Not Sew cowl or maybe a pair of Carly Wolf's Dire Wolf Mittens for winter. Eh, who am I kidding? I'm the slowest knitter on the planet so I'll be starting these patterns in 2021 if I'm lucky.

So be sure to keep an eye out for my GoT inspired shop samples in 2-5 years. Maybe around the same time George R.R. Martin finally releases The Winds of Winter.
